Even if I don't manage to write anything for the ~handful of prompts I see daily here on Fedi, I do tend to jot them down with notes.
I suppose this will just be a thread of belated prompt-answer short fiction?

Black Artists Group Profiled
Source: The Shfl. The Black Artists Group (BAG), formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1968, is often seen as a junior stepsibling to Chicago’s Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM), which launched a few years earlier. But while the AACM was focused entirely on music, BAG was a multidisciplinary arts organization that included writers and poets, dancers, actors and painters.

Hey, folks from what was once called Twitter! My fedi tip is: follow hashtags. You can search for hashtags of interest and then follow them just like you can follow any account. Your timeline will fill up quickly if you do that, and then you can start to follow interesting people in the timeline.
For example, some of the hashtags I follow include #blackmastodon, #mutualaid, and #canpoli, among others.
I've found that I can get news just as fast here as folks on #X.
Down since the archive had to retool, emulation in the browser at @internetarchive is BACK.
A quarter million programs and growing can run free again.
But all anyone cares about is our #1 title:
I bought a little couch for the cats because I thought that would be funny, and today one of them sat on it for the first time — and it was
I want to share a terrific used book source with everyone on this Monday morning. I seldom buy new books other than for gifts as I mostly use my library, but I do order used on occasion through Amazon. No need to though. ThriftBooks has over 13 million titles, free shipping over $15, delivery within a week, and a buyback program. Independently owned, and I can vouch for the iOS app. First order is on its way. https://www.thriftbooks.com/ #books #bookstodon #iamreading #Today #November2024
I am sure the majority of crafters can relate to this one, I know I can.

No, this isn’t Excalibur; it’s the legendary Sword of Dunvegan, and it’s over 500 years old.
This formidable weapon was crafted by the MacLeods of Suardal, who served as blacksmiths to the MacLeods of Dunvegan.
Dating the sword precisely is challenging, though its design points to the late 15th or early 16th century AD. The sword appears on the tombstone of Alasdair Crotach MacLeod, the 8th Chief of the Clan, indicating it must date to before his death in 1528 AD.
Just in case you need something soft tonight... Here's Sushi, my tuxedo cat, in his favourite box 😺
